So, here's an update on my life. (If you can even call it that. )
To start off, I'll go ahead and complain about almost all my teachers because there is only... 2 that I don't really have a problem with.
First period- Hilyard:
I really really really hate dislike her. She had the friggen nerve to lie to my face. The second week of school she had given us a list of "classic novels" (half of them are just crappy and old, not classics) and tells us that we need to have three of them read by the end of the first 9 weeks. I had no problem with that. I LOVE reading so I went ahead and got three books off the list. One of the ones that I picked was Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and as soon as she saw that I was reading it she told me not to. She started yammering on about how "students chose to read that book because it's big and they like to look smart" or something stupid like that and then she went on to tell me it's not like that bible and that the only time it was good was in the 50s or whatever. As soon as I opened my mouth to argue she started ranting on and on about how Ayn Rand isn't a good author and that I also shouldn't read it because it's never taught in college liturature classes. WTF? I'M NOT TAKING FRIGGIN AP-LIT RIGHT NOW SO I DON'T CARE IF IT'S ON THE LIST OF NOT. Yeah. I was really really pissed off and the bell rang before I could lose my temper and so the next day I decided to talk to her about it. I was perfectly polite and I raised my hand and asked why the book was on the list if she didn't want us to read it (and asked why she didn't mention it before) and then asked why I have to read books that are on the AP-LIT exam if I'm only in 10th grade english and she had the nerve to tell me that that wasn't what she had said. THE WHOLE ENTIRE CLASS HAD HEARD HER. Gah. She ticks me off to no end and now I have to find a new book to read. =[
Also, she seems to really hate classes where the kids have opinions and ask questions. She has had the nerve to tell kids that they're opinion of a character in a short story was wrong. IT'S THEIR OPINION AND JUST BECUASE SHE DOESN'T AGREE DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY ARE WRONG. On of the stories that she did that on was called Two Kinds. It's about some chinese girl who doesn't want to learn to play piano or something and she asked us if any of the characters got on our nerves. On kid said that the mother annoyed him and she told him he was wrong. HOW IN THE WORLD IS SHE SUPPOSED TO KNOW HOW HE FEELS? Gah. I'm going to stop now because if I don't I'll end up just going on and on and on about what an asshole she is (Mari used the "a" word?!? XD) and you'll all fall asleep on your keyboard and drool which will totally ruin it and it'll be all my fault. =[
So yeah, 2nd period- Roberts:
He's ok. The kids in the class are stupid. I mean seriously. He gave us like 2 weeks to study for a map test that only had the 7 continents and the oceans and on the day of the test one girl was freaking out saying that she couldn't remember where Europe is. I mean come on. The test was so easy that I was embaressed to take the stupid thing.
3rd period- Carpenter:
All I'm going to say about her is that she's slow. I mean super slow. It's taken us almost half of a quarter to make it to chapter three in our texts book. CONVERTING MEASUREMENTS SHOULDN'T TAKE THAT LONG. Although the class would be a lot quicker is she'd stop talking about all of her medical issues.
4th period- Schult:
I LOVE CHORUS!! Except for the fact that most of the music sucks and that we have to dance. I'm probably going to end up falling off the stupid stage while some of us have to run across shouting "ONE, TWO, ONE, TO THREE!!!!" That part really sucks. XP
The class has taught me that my future profession will not include dancing.
I'm so happy though! So many of my friends are in the class with me and it's just way to awesome. Although Schult seems to think I talk to much which is kinda funny. Most people find me to be anti- social.
5th period- Dr. Causey:
only things I'm going to say:
1) we don't have test's we have "celebrations"
2) she doesn't assign homework she "allows us to do it"
3) not to be mean but she looks like a chipmonk.
6th period- Sledge:
old and speaks German with a accent. Doesn't know German grammer and the russian kid is teaching it to him. The good thing about the class is that I'm sitting by my friend Bri and we can sit in the back and pass notes.
Other than that there isn't much going on. I'm the VP of anime club but unfortuantly it's on tuesday this year which is the same day as Candlelight practices and I'm not allowed to miss them. It really sucks.
And I'm also really excited about going to Ohio in November for NCYC! I can't wait! I just really hope it doesn't snow because I hate the snow. I'm just a Floridian through-and-through. XD Of course the only bad thing about NCYC is that it's a 16 hour bus trip and I'm going to be on the stupid bus for my birthday but I'll try to figure out what to do to make up for it. =]
That's all for now. If I think of anything I forgot then I'll get back on and edit this later.
Auf Wiedersehen!
